a history of the company

Fischer was founded back in 1924 when Josef Fischer Senior from his barn in Austria started creating sledges and handcarts. When Fishcer Senior died in 1959 he left his son and daughter one of the biggest ski companies in the world to run. In 1993 Fischer was the most successful ski brand a tht eNordic WCH in Sweden - winning 13 gold, 6 silver and 9 bronze. The success carried on through into the 21st Century.

In 07/08 World Cup Fischer won 3 Crystal globes, eight small crystal globes and numerous podium placings. Again in in the 08/09 season they dominated the World cup with 5 large crystal globes, 8 small globes and 77 World Championship medals and 273 podium finishes in all four Nordic sports.
