Olympic Skier Alain Baxter swaps Skis for Cycle

In 2001/02 Ski Season Alain Baxter had a World Ranking of 11 and competed in the Salt Lake City Olympics becoming the first ever Brit to win a medal for skiing. With a change in direction it's not the Winter Olympics but 2012 Summer Olympics that may see Baxter returning to World Class fame swapping downhill slalom for cycling
 With 16 years on the British Ski Team under his belt Alain sadly quit ski racing earlier this year. In a recent interview with Matt Bendoris from the Sun the athlete talked about the programme he is currently enrolled on, at the University of Stirling, that's designed to get athletes to compete in other sports.
With the Commenwealth games around the corner next year in Delhi and then the Olympics to aim for in 2012 he's certainly got a lot on his plate.
