By Air

The following airports can be used when flying to Gargellen:

- Airport Zürich-Kloten/Switzerland (150 km - 2 hrs.)

- Airport Altenrhein/Switzerland (75 km - 1 hr.)

- Airport Friedrichshafen/Germany (100 km - 1-1/2 hrs.)

By Train
Bludenz has a larger train station which is used for the express train "Montafonerbahn" from Bludenz to Schruns which runs daily and takes about 20 minutes. For further information on timetables please contact www.montafonerbahn.at (Information in German only)

By Car

About The Resort..

Gargellen

Gargellen is the hightest lying village of Moantafon's alpenSZENE. The Gargellen ski area is also known as Schafberg. Most of the village is ski in ski out and expect a resort with few lift lines and uncrowded slopes. If you are wanting to adventure out to other areas it is only a 10 minute bus ride form Montafon.

PIZZERIA BARGA and S'NÄSCHT, 1.560 m

Pizzeria Barga is located directly on the main valley ski run and is easily reachable not only for skiers but also when walking or driving. Many guests use Barga's cozy hut with its sun terrace to re-energize themselves before heading home. Starting at 7 PM, the Barga Express will pick you up from the village at no charge!

THE KESSLHÜTTE, 1.733 m

Hubert's Kesslhütte is quaintly rustic and fits perfectly with the Gargellen landscape. A well loved meeting place with hearty food, cozy sun terrace with free sun chairs and après ski through to the evening hours. The easy valley run with torches rounds off the ski day. They don't say for nothing "if you haven't been to Hubert's, then you haven't been in Gargellen"

THE OBWALDHÜTTE, 1.863m

The cozy Obwaldhütte is known in general as the "Schnapshüsli". Located directly on the valley run, you can stop here for a quick refresher - and often stay longer than you planned to. Time flies by in this pleasant and intimate atmosphere. Every Thursday: a hearty hut evening starting at 6:00 PM - ski home by lantern light!

THE SCHAFBERGHÜSLI, 2.130m

The Schafberghüsli can be found at the base station of the Gargellen cable car and is therefore easy to reach.

One attraction of the Restaurant „Schafberghüsli“ is its large terrace with sun chairs from which you can enjoy the amazing panoramic view Gargellen offers. Starting from 11:00 AM, the Team will spoil you with national specialties. Enjoy homemade cake and strudel in the afternoon from our menu.

In the "SB-Kiosk" you can get fast pick-me-up snacks. The ice bar is a well loved meeting place.

We recommend you get your ski hire and snowboards at

Pure Mountain Equipment in Gargellan.

The Pure Mountain Equipment Shop is conveniently located next to Gargellen lift station. They are open 7 days a week from 8 am to 7pm (often 9 pm on busy days).

Parking is available at the lift station’s car park. Loading or unloading in front of the shop is permitted. If you are up early and have missed breakfast the shop even serves coffee and pastries!

If you book online here at Snowbrainer before you leave we will save you both time and money. The equipment will be reserved and waiting for you in the shop on your arrival. What's more we will give you a discount on the shop's prices by pre-booking online. It's a No Brainer!
