Skiing in Hochfugen A very good small resort and all the other Zillertel resorts including Mayrhofen are within half and hour by car. Little queues and lots of off piste in the right conditions are available. Linked with Hochzillertal via the lift system opens up 155km of pistes! The town of Fugen is 8 miles away and is good for a day off from the slopes. |

Hochfugen Ski
The Hochfugen ski area has a number of ski lifts including
- 2 x gondolas
- 1 x detachable 6-seater chair lift with all-weather bubbles
- 1 x quad chair lift
- 1 x double chair lift
- 7 x tows
- Magic Carpet
The Stephan Eberharten Gold Piste, named after the successful Austrian skier, is a great run with a 1200m descent. It isn't too difficult and is open for night skiing twice a week too.
Night skiing on Thursday nights can be a good laugh.
Cross Country - 10km of trails are available
Snowboarders - there is a specialised park for you to play on.

The are a number of routes but basically it's easy to get around Jenbach, Spieljoch, Hochfugen, Kolsassberg, Fugenberg and Kapfing By ski shuttle: With a valid Zillertal Super Ski Pass
or a valid day pass for Hochfügen, you can ride for free all bus and
rail lines run by the Zillertal Transit Authority (except for the steam
train) and local ski shuttles within the Zillertal Valley. Ski groups
must make arrangements in advance with the ticket office
(Tel.+43(0)5280-5305). Transportation is provided for them appropriate
to the size of the group. Without a valid ski pass, pedestrians and
ski-tourers will have to pay the regular fare.
